30 Experiences People Are Grateful for But Won’t Repeat

There’s nothing like an exhilarating, death-defying or simply not feasible to attempt again, sometimes it’s necessary to do something just once for the plot.

This mentality inspired one Redditor to motor-bike up a hill in Nepal. The path wasn’t  meant for vehicles, but Nepalese locals invited him to them. After “four hours of pain,” they reached the camp and got to take in the spectacular view. But as beautiful as it was, he won’t be doing it again, noting that his “whole ass and legs were destroyed.”

Fair enough.

Other Redditors have shared the best experiences they will only have once, including those involving camping for N*SYNC, skydiving and cliff-jumping.

Fuzzy-Ad1788 21d ago Cliff jumping. Honestly just most of my 17-20 year old experience lol. Amazing memories that came from it, but there's no way I could repeat any of them with the stable life I have now. I'm 25, and never could have imagined how much I would change, let alone my entire life whether I wanted it to or not! 259 Reply ...

Didn't agree with the war I served in, but my time in gave me the discipline, determination, and resources needed to dig myself out of hell and build a good life. I just left teaching and am working on my 3rd masters to become a social worker. War was horrible, but there's significantly less pain in my life now and my future is bright. 1.3K Reply ...
ASuckerForGreatArt 21d ago Working as a crisis specialist on the suicide hotline. It taught me a lot. I learned some great ways to talk with people in crisis and felt like I truly helped some people. That being said, the job itself was immensely stressful, and my anxiety started causing physical health impacts, so I had to leave. 89 Reply ...

Cuntmaster_fl... 21d ago . Edited 21d ago Visiting Auschwitz. It's something that you need to do at some point in your life but it's very hard hitting to actually see the place. Seeing the nail marks on the walls of the gas chambers is the one thing that will stay with me forever. It's a reminder of the cruel evil that humans can do to one another. 959 Reply ... + More replies

Не was a cool and sweet guy who was aware that I'm a lesbian and this would be an experiment for me. It was nice and consensual, and exactly what I hoped it would be. Glad I did that, won't do it again. 156 Reply ... + More replies

nailbunny2000 21d ago Be a hardcore raider in an MMO (WoW). Our guild had some server firsts and I got some (at the time) very rare achievments, but I so completely burnt out. The thought of having to get home from work and grind dailies before raid time nearly gives me a panic attack. Damn it was fun though, and glad to know I could perform at that level.
